Welcome to Gauntlit Arena ("Gauntlit", "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our writers and readers. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Gauntlit mobile app or our web services.

2. Information We Collect

• Account & Authentication Information: When you create an account, we store your email address, unique user ID (UUID), chosen username/handle, equipped titles, equipped card themes, and token balance.
• User Submissions: Micro-fiction blitz stories, weekly epic short stories, constraint term validations, and votes cast in 3-way reader matchups.
• Device & Anonymous Session Data: For guest accounts, we utilize locally stored anonymous identifiers on your device (`AsyncStorage`) to retain your drafts and token balances locally without requiring an email.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly to provide core application features:

• Operating 10-minute speed blitz challenges and weekly epic arenas.
• Calculating story Elo ratings, matchup win percentages, and leaderboard standings.
• Managing token rewards, cosmetic shop purchases, and title unlocks.
• Enforcing community safety, automated profanity filtering, and content reporting.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure & Data Security

Your authentication credentials and database records are securely hosted using Supabase infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS) policies and HTTPS encryption in transit. We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties or advertising networks.

5. Account Deletion & Data Purge (Google Play Compliance)

In compliance with Google Play Store Data Safety requirements, every user has the absolute right to permanently delete their account and purge all associated data at any time.

You may trigger an immediate full data purge directly within the mobile app under My Profile → Account Privacy & Data Control → Delete Account, or submit an online request on our dedicated Account Deletion Web Page.

6. Children's Privacy

Gauntlit is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
