COMMUNITY STANDARDS & SAFETY

Code of Conduct & Content Guidelines

Ensuring a fair, creative, and safe arena for all writers and readers.

1. Our Core Purpose

Gauntlit is built to inspire writers to test their speed, creativity, and storytelling under pressure. We believe in fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive community where writers of all skill levels can share micro-fiction and short stories.

2. Prohibited Content & Zero-Tolerance Policies

To maintain a safe environment on app stores, the following content is strictly prohibited on Gauntlit:

  • Hate Speech & Harassment: Any content promoting violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
  • Explicit Profanity & Inappropriate Usernames: Usernames and story titles are filtered via automated obscenity checks. Offensive handles will be flagged and reset.
  • Explicit Sexual Violence & Exploitation: Gratuitous explicit sexual violence or non-consensual graphic depictions are prohibited.
  • Spam & Automated Bots: Submitting AI-generated spam scripts, commercial advertisements, or manipulation of the voting pool via automated bots.

3. Fair Voting & Matchup Integrity

All 3-way head-to-head story matchups in the Voting Arena are presented 100% anonymously to ensure unbiased voting. Attempting to coordinate vote-brigading, self-voting exploits, or collusion is strictly prohibited and will result in voting token forfeiture.

4. Reporting & Moderation Enforcement

Every story card in the voting pool includes an in-app [ 🚩 Report Story ] button. Reported stories are immediately routed to our Admin Control Panel queue and suppressed from the reader pool pending review.

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in story removal, token balance resets, or permanent account termination.
